Call for submissions

[Αν] 2 will be published in December 2009 by Anaeresis publications.

1,000 copies of it will be printed and distributed for free.

The theme for [Av]2 is "une histoire commune".

Contributors will be acknowledged collectively at the front page of the journal, but their pieces will not be individually signed.

The names or pseudonyms of contributors will appear on the title page of the volume alphabetically - each piece will appear in random order.

For the purposes of this publication no copyright is held on any of the contents of the volume by anyone, including the publisher.

The submitted pieces will not be edited. Some pieces may not be published.


Terms of submission

Only texts are permitted. One image per entry is allowed. The typography of the volume is edited unless otherwise requested.

Authors are to employ all or a good part of the following well-known text in the opening or middle of their piece:

"In ten years time I will be as much blessed as I am hated today. In some seaport towns, commerce is so selfish that it is unjust and always wants to gain, no matter what the others may lose. No matter what is said, it is I who have created industry...people are mistaken; I am not ambitious. Sleeplessness, fatigue and war are not for a man of my age. I like my bed and my rest more than anyone does; but I want to finish this work. In this world there is only one alternative: command or obey."

Submissions can be made in British English, American English, Australian English, English as a second language, English as a foreign language, broken English and any English at all. There is also scope for publishing one article in Irish.

Canadian authors and authors with a Canadian accent are excluded and their entries will be disqualified.

All texts must also include a small quote (one sentence to one paragraph in length) written in a language the author is not familiar with. The author is to form the excerpt solely by using a dictionary. Grammatical mistakes are permitted, even though the editor will be generally disappointed to read those.

French is not allowed at all.

Pornographic material will not be published or returned, but it is especially appreciated nonetheless. Unless it is in French.

If a writer wishes that their contribution is anonymous to the editor, they must specify so when submitting their piece of work. Their name or pseudonym will still appear on the title page; the recipient of the submissions is not the editor.

Anonymous submissions are also welcome and will generally be attributed to Anon.

The deadline for submission is December 18th, 2009.

All contributors will receive one copy of the journal when available, some time in the Summer of 2010.

All contributors are strongly advised to run a backward marathon.
It will be good fun.

The submitted and selected pieces will not be edited.


Terms of submission

All printable material is permitted. The paper used will be Chamois, 120 Gsm and the printed symbols will be in monochrome black.

All submitted materials must be printable on one sheet of paper sized 12''x9''.

Written submissions can be made in any language or mixture of languages chosen from the following: Greek, Ancient Greek, Latin, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian (languages read proficiently by the editors). Exceptions may be made if necessary.

If a writer wishes that their contribution is anonymous to the editor, they must specify so when submitting their piece of work. Their name or pseudonym will still appear on the title page; the recipient of the submissions is not the editor.

Anonymous submissions are also welcome and will generally be attributed to Anon.

The deadline for submission is April 15th, 2008.

All contributors will receive a pdf version of the journal a week prior to its publication to verify that they agree to their participation in the publication anonymously/by name/by pseudonym.

Contributors will receive one copy of [Αν]1 before June 2008.

Any profit made from the issue will be used in its entirety for the publication of [Αν]2.

Πρόσκληση ενδιαφέροντος

Το πρώτο τεύχος του περιοδικού [Aν] θα εκδοθεί τον Μάιο του 2008 από την εταιρεία Αναίρεσις.

Το τεύχος θα εκτυπωθεί σε 1.000 αντίτυπα και θα διανεμηθεί ευρέως.

Το θέμα για το πρώτο τεύχος είναι η ανωνυμία.

Οι συνεργασίες θα αναγνωριστούν συλλογικά στην πρώτη σελίδα του περιοδικού, μα τα άρθρα δεν θα είναι υπογεγραμμένα από τον συγγραφέα τους.

Τα ονόματα ή ψευδώνυμα των συνεργατών θα αναγραφούν στην πρώτη σελίδα αλφαβητικά, ενώ τα άρθρα θα εμφανιστούν σε τυχαία σειρά στο περιοδικό.

Για τους σκοπούς αυτής της έκδοσης δεν διατηρούνται πνευματικά δικαιώματα από τους συνεργάτες ή τους εκδότες για οποιοδήποτε μέρος του περιεχομένου.

Οι εκδότες δεν θα επεξεργαστούν το υλικό.

Όροι συνεργασίας

Οποιοδήποτε εκτυπώσιμο υλικό γίνεται δεκτό. Το χαρτί εκτύπωσης θα είναι τύπου Chamois 12ο Gsm και όλα τα εκτυπωμένα σύμβολα θα είναι μονόχρωμα (μαύρο).

Όλες οι υποβολές πρέπει να είναι μορφοποιημένες για εκτύπωση σε επιφάνεια 12''χ9''.

Γραπτές υποβολές γίνονται δεκτές σε οποιαδήποτε από τις παρακάτω γλώσσες: Ελληνικά, Αρχαία Ελληνικά, Λατινικά, Αγγλικά, Γαλλικά, Γερμανικά, Ισπανικά και Ιταλικά (οι γλώσσες που γνωρίζουν καλά οι εκδότες). Αν κάποιος συνεργάτης επιθυμεί να υποβάλει σε άλλη γλώσσα, τότε το άρθρο θα εξεταστεί ιδιαιτέρως.

Αν είναι επιθυμητή η εξέταση του άρθρου ανώνυμα (αλλά και ταυτόχρονα η συμπερίληψη στην λίστα συνεργατών), τότε αυτό πρέπει να είναι καθαρά σημειωμένο πάνω στην υποβολή.

Ο παραλήπτης των υποβολών δεν είναι ο εκδότης.

Είναι ευπρόσδεκτες και ανώνυμες συνεργασίες, οι οποίες θα αποδοθούν γενικά στον συνεργάτη Anon.

Η προθεσμία υποβολής είναι η 15η Απριλίου 2008.

Όλοι οι συνεργάτες θα λάβουν ένα προ-τελικό κείμενο λίγες μέρες πριν από την έκδοση ώστε να συμφωνήσουν στην συμμετοχή τους σύμφωνα με τους όρους της έκδοσης, ανώνυμα, ψευδώνυμα ή επώνυμα.

Οι τελικοί συνεργάτες θα παραλάβουν ένα αντίτυπο της έκδοσης πριν από τον Ιούνιο του 2008.

Όποια κέρδη προκύψουν από την έκδοση του πρώτου τεύχους θα διατεθούν για την έκδοση του δεύτερου τεύχους του περιοδικού.
